Event Description:
Illinois is home to a variety of unique ecological regions, each with its own distinct features. Join us for an evening with Illinois Department of Natural Resources expert Joe Bauer as he discusses these regions, including hill prairies. The event will also highlight the IDNR resource trunks, which cover a wide range of topics on Illinois' natural areas and are valuable tools for educators and anyone eager to learn more about the state’s ecosystems. Following the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in an “ecosystem walk” at the Confluence Field Station, exploring the diverse ecological zones firsthand.
